Gestures in Isolation:
the confined conceptual body, restriction & release

2020
Two channel video and object

Gestures in Isolation: the confined conceptual body, restriction and release is an embodied investigation into gesture and action. Drawing from the Covid-19 related isolation measures, it is a study of the influence of situational context and environmental psychology on the body. The three-part body of work acts as an archive of performative and text-based exploration, aiming to give insight into the embodied experience of domestic confinement.

This is an ongoing project; an archive in becoming.
